Appraiser eLearning Partner Hal Humphreys grew up measuring houses in West TN with his appraiser dad. Boy scouting taught him to never be lost. "I'm not lost. I'm in the U.S.," he says, if unable to pin down a more specific location. Those skills of navigation and evasion are useful in his parallel work as a private investigator. He has twice navigated across Spain on the 500-mile Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Humphreys is a lifelong learner and educator. He is a practicing Certified Fraud Examiner and professional investigator. Hal is a CDEI certified instructor through IDECC. He writes, lectures, and he walks ... a lot.

Founder

Andy Arledge is a seasoned entrepreneur, software developer, and certified real estate appraiser with over four decades of diverse business experience across the technology, real estate, and construction industries. As the founder and president of Freedom Appraise, LLC and Appraiser Genie, LLC, Andy has combined his deep understanding of real estate valuation with innovative software development to create industry-leading cloud-based tools for appraisers. His platforms leverage MLS data to automate appraisal adjustments using advanced trend analytics and proven adjustment methodologies. These tools are fully compatible with the new UAD 3.6, providin data-driven solutions for appraisers nationwide.

Andy has been a Texas Certified Residential Appraiser since 2005, operating under Arledge Appraisals, LLC, and serving 13 counties in West Texas. His appraisal work spans mortgage lending, estate and divorce evaluations, IRS proceedings, and SBA loan valuations. He was also certified as a Business Appraiser by the International Society of Business Analysts from 2014 to 2020, offering business and equipment valuation services.

Andy’s entrepreneurial journey began with Alliance Realty Group, LLC, where he served as broker and president of the largest property management company in West Texas. Managing a portfolio of over 1,000 homes, apartments, commercial properties, and even bowling alleys, Andy developed a comprehensive property management system to support the operations. His leadership during the Texas oil bust and S&L crisis included working with the Resolution Trust Corporation and FDIC, showcasing his resilience and strategic capability in navigating complex market conditions.
