    Paul Witt
    Technical Leader, The DOW Chemical Company
    Paul Witt is a technical leader in the Engineering and Process Science department of Dow's Core Research & Development organization. Paul is responsible for the technical innovation, leadership, and strategy of his organization. He is also an active member of the AIChE RAPID technical advisory board.

    Over his 25-year career at Dow, Paul has served the chemical industry in several leadership and technical roles. Over a ten-year period, Paul led the Reaction Engineering, Process Separations, and Process Systems Engineering groups. Under his leadership, his team members received numerous internal and external awards for converting innovations into practical applications. Prior to his leadership roles, Paul implemented and supported numerous advanced control and optimization projects globally. His contributions also include supporting the start-up of a grassroots ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plant in Malaysia.

    He received his B.S. in chemical engineering from Iowa State University and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota in the field of short contact time reactors with noble metal catalysts under the direction of Lanny D. Schmidt.

    In 2022, Paul earned the IChemE Davidson Award for outstanding mentorship. Paul is the author of over 100 Dow internal reports and 23 peer-reviewed journal articles.
