Financial Advisor
Michael Kovacs is an insurance and financial advisor and the President of Florida Retirement Group (FRG). In 2010, Michael began his career in the insurance and financial services industry as an Insurance Agent with Bankers Life & Casualty. In 2013, unwilling to remain a captive agent for one company, he took the opportunity to advance his career and joined Futurity First, an independent insurance and investment group. In 2015, to offer more investment services, Michael became a certified and licensed Financial Advisor. In 2017, Michael co-founded Florida Retirement Group, an independent insurance & financial services agency. His career goal is to work for “you,” the client, with complete transparency and drastically reduce insurance and investments’ complexities.

Integrity is an integral component of Michael’s overall work ethic, something that is becoming hard to find. Attention to detail and excellent, timely communication is characteristics his clients appreciate. Michael excels at Medicare preparation, tax-free retirement roll-over planning, and investment income strategies, including portfolio design. He has effectively surrounded himself with a team of legal and tax professionals offering estate planning services.

Michael holds a Series 6 Securities License, Florida 215 Insurance License, and the CLTC (Certified Long Term Care) designation. He is a member of NAIFA and the exclusive Million Dollar Round Table Association. He is passionate about the work he does, and doing what is best for the client is a motto lived by daily.

Michael lives in St. Petersburg with his wife Annie and their son, Bowie. Away from the business, he enjoys traveling and creating memories with friends and family. Michael aims to continually grow as a person in and out of the office.

Michael’s most significant observation over the years has been that people don’t plan to fail; they fail to plan.
