In this webinar, ISO will be introducing its rollout of “Mitigate”, a new online resource for the fire service, first responders, and community officials. “Mitigate” provides insights to help you improve your fire protection efforts and facilitate communications and data exchanges with ISO. We will be explaining the powerful features that are offered through “Mitigate” at no cost to communities to assist you in measuring and improving your fire protection system performance.

Join ISO management for this webinar about how to utilize “Mitigate” dashboard to gain valuable insight of your Public Protection Classification (PPC) rating. The dashboard provides detailed information of your community’s scores related to the fire department, water providers, emergency communications center, and your community risk reduction efforts. As well the dashboard also provides benchmark scores with comparisons to a peer group of similar communities and a state and national group. In addition, “Mitigate” provides an interactive map of your fire protection area with fire stations, hydrants and commercial building locations.

Brad has over 30 years of experience in the Community Hazard Mitigation industry and is currently the Vice President of the Community Hazard Mitigation Division for Insurance Services Office/Verisk. His responsibilities include the oversight of ratings for fire protection, building code adoption and enforcement and flood mitigation efforts throughout the country. Brad has been designated as a Certified Fire Protection Specialist by the National Fire Protection Association. Brad resides in Jacksonville, FL.

Josh Gibbons leads property underwriting product management in the areas of fire protection and mitigation, including ISO’s Public Protection Classification (PPC®) program, which analyzes the quality of fire protection in thousands of communities throughout the United States.  Mr. Gibbons has more than 18 years of property/casualty insurance industry experience in pricing and product development. He worked for industry-leading insurance companies, including Nationwide, Travelers, and Mercury Insurance, before joining ISO, a Verisk business. Since joining ISO, Mr. Gibbons has led the effort to innovate and enhance an array of address-level property data products. In addition, he provides strategic support for ISO Community Hazard Mitigation programs on a national level. Mr. Gibbons is a graduate of Ohio State University with a B.A in Mathematics.

Joined the ISO Management Team in 2006, responsibilities include liaison to national and state fire service associations, conference outreach and frequent speaker of educational programs on ISO to Associations and Communities. As well manages ISO’s Public Protection Classification Program for the Southwest region. Prior to joining ISO Skip had a 30-year fire service career with the Cherry Hill Fire Department and then served on the Board of Commissioners.

Fire Chief, Ponderosa Fire Department
F. C. (Fred) Windisch, EFO CFO, began his volunteer fire service career in 1972, and is Fire Chief of the Ponderosa Fire Department (Houston, Texas). He served as the CEO/Fire Marshal of the Harris County Fire and Emergency Services Department (2000-2002), the third most populous county in the nation. Fred has been a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs since 1985, is a charter member of the Volunteer & Combination Officers Section, and was Chairman and is currently the VCOS Secretary-Treasurer. He was selected as the Fire Chief Magazine Volunteer Fire Chief of the Year (2000), has co-authored a book, A Leadership Guide For Combination Fire Departments. Fred retired from Shell Chemical Company as a Senior Safety Specialist working with health, safety and environmental issues. Fred also served as Fire Chief of the facility's fire brigade and managed its fire, EMS, Hazmat, and Rescue teams. Fred and Theresa have been married since 1969. Their son, Scott, is a Battalion Chief with The Woodlands Fire Department and Deputy Chief with Ponderosa. Their grandson, Cody, is currently a senior attending the University of Texas Tyler with a major in business.
