    Joshua Walitt
    SRA, MNAA, CDEI AQB Certified USPAP Instructor
    Joshua Walitt is the principal consultant for Walitt Solutions. He provides short- and long-term consulting services related to compliance, valuation, education, review, and investigations. Clients include lending institutions, appraisers, appraisal management companies, attorneys, education providers, and regulators.
    With over 20 years of experience, Walitt’s skillset includes appraisal, banking, regulations, policy, instruction, licensing, and enforcement. His core goal is to foster clients’ efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and growth through appropriate methodology and technology, sound reasoning and communication skills, and proper oversight. He writes for industry publications and speaks at events such as the Appraisal Institute’s Annual Conference, Appraisal Summit and Expo, Valuation Expo, Appraiser’s Conference and Trade Show, Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials, and other client and industry conferences. Walitt designs seminars and continuing education courses for online and classroom delivery. In 2013, he was the appraiser member of Colorado’s AMC Rulemaking Taskforce. In 2015, Walitt designed the Market Machine, a market analysis and modeling tool used by appraisers throughout the U.S. He has also provided valuation consulting for international applications. Walitt has been recognized as an expert witness in local and federal court. He is the 2021 Vice President of the National Association of Appraisers. Walitt is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor, holds the SRA & AI-RRS designations with the Appraisal Institute, is a member of the National Association of Appraisers (MNAA), holds a Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI) certificate, is an Appraisal Institute approved instructor, and served on the Colorado Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

    Wes McDaniel
    Wes McDaniel has been a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser for over 35 years. He began his valuation career in a residential-and-commercial family firm, before joining Bank of America for almost 20 years, in their in-house residential appraisal department. While there, Wes drove many innovations of their appraisal processes, including a national time-and-motion study with staff appraisers to identify best practices and improve appraisal turn times. He also sponsored and taught in the bank’s appraisal trainee program, which allowed dozens of bank employees to become appraisers. In the past 10-15 years, McDaniel has served as the chief appraiser in two national appraisal management operations, before returning to private residential and consulting practice in 2017.

    Chris Shoemaker
    Chris has over 35 years of real estate appraisal experience in a variety of roles including fee/staff appraiser, self-employed appraisal shop owner, and managing an appraisal department for a nationwide lender. He has trained appraisal staff as well as providing seminars for various real estate and lending professionals including loan production, underwriting, and sales personnel. He has worked with secondary market players in the loan sale process and on rebuttals for repurchase demands. Chris has worked with some of the pioneers applying the hybrid appraisal model to real-world appraisal situations. He has also been responsible for setting up compliance standards to meet USPAP, federal and state law, GSE, HUD and investor requirements in both appraisal and lending environments.

    Pamela Teel
    Pam is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Texas, an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor, and an IDECC Certified Distance Educator. Her current appraisal practice consists of appraisal review, education, mentoring and consulting. Pam previously owned Corpus Christi Appraisal Service in Corpus Christi, Texas, and held a position as staff appraiser for a nation-wide lender where she was responsible for development and delivery of appraisal training. Prior to becoming a real estate appraiser, Pam was the Vice President of Operations for a commercial property management company, managing office buildings, shopping centers, and apartment complexes.
    Pam has been appointed by the State of Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board as a Mentor and is the immediate past President of the Texas Association of Appraisers.
