In the early 2000s, electronic nicotine delivery systems (known as ENDS) emerged on the market in China, Europe, and the United States. Originally developed as “safer” than smoking and as a tool to aid in the process of quitting cigarettes, it quickly became an epidemic among global youth. Many of these adolescents and teens are now young adults and are addicted to vaping like the older generation was on traditional tobacco products.
