Youth Suicide Awareness

About This Webinar

The foundational material for upcoming subsequent webinars. Topics include current statistics on youth suicide, the factors that place certain students at higher risk, the # 1 risk factor all educators and parents must know, the warning signs of imminent youth suicide, protective factors that increase student safety, protecting against impulsive suicide, and youth suicide “myths versus facts.” Resources will be shared and there will be Q and A time at the end.

Three subsequent webinars will include Suicide Risk Assessment, Safety Planning and Counseling Strategies, and Preventing Contagion After a Student's Suicide. All are geared toward school environments and school-based professionals.
