Josh Ortega

Director of Industry Affairs

Josh Ortega is Director of Industry Affairs for Veriforce. Prior to joining Veriforce, Josh was with BHP for 18 years. Working in the New Mexico coal mines before moving to Houston to join their oil and gas operations. He worked in operations, human resources, and health, safety, environment, and community. Before joining BHP, he spent 7 years with LaFarge, an international construction, sand and gravel, and concrete company. He has worked oil and gas production, drilling, completions, and well interventions operations in Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas.

Josh is a past Chairman of SafeLandUSA and the National STEPS Network Executive Committee.

James Junkin, CSP, SMS, CSHO

Tara Porter-Yarborough

ETC Director

In January 2010, Tara became a PEC SafeLand instructor, then in May 2010, when the Energy Training Council, ETC, became the third accrediting organization for SafeLand, she became the ETC Master Trainer. In 2015, she became ETC’s first Executive Director. In July 2016, ETC became part of the Oklahoma Career and Technical Education System and Tara continued on as the ETC Director. Today, ETC has 232 member companies and schools and 782 instructors.

Olivia McNamara

Director of ESG at WPX Energy

Olivia McNamara is the Director of ESG for WPX Energy. Olivia joined the company in July 2018 as Manager of HSE. Prior to joining WPX, she held the role of Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager for SK. Olivia started her career at Williams Exploration and Production before moving to private equity as Environmental and Safety Director for Panther Energy. She continued her education at Oklahoma State University, completing an MS in Environmental Management.
