PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

This course is designed to include continuing professional education regarding tax planning and strategies designed to generate larger client refunds. Topics include form 7202 for Self-Employed Sick and Family leave, Recovery Rebate Credits, Advanced Child Tax Credit, deferral of income through SIMPLE, SEP and other retirement plans, Self-Employed Health Insurance Deduction, Employer Retention Credits, scheduling of Business Equipment purchases to maximize deductions, and adjusting W-4 withholding amounts.

Refund Policy
Refunds will be honored if written notification is received at the Administrative Office up to 5 days prior to the date of the course. A processing fee of $25 will be deducted from the refund. If the total registration fee was less than $25, no refund will be granted. Transferring the registration to another individual is allowed up to 5 days prior to the program date. Transfers or cancellations within 5 days of the course will not be accepted. “No Shows” forfeit their fees. Cancellation
VASEA reserves the right to cancel any program or course for circumstances that are not under direct control of VASEA. If a course or program is cancelled, registrants will be notified via email at the address listed on their registration form.

Patrick is an enrolled agent in the Richmond, VA area with over twenty years of experience in the accounting and tax fields. Throughout his career, he has worked in the Public, Private, and Non-Profit sectors, and managed a franchise tax office, serving in positions ranging from Accounting Consultant to Chief Financial Officer.

He has also made it a point to be involved service to his community and has served on several local, state, and national boards of directors. Currently he is a Senior Accountant at My Tax Pilot in Henrico County, where he spends most of his time working on tax returns for small businesses, small business owners, estates, and trusts, and on accounting projects. In his spare time, he chairs two local government boards, serves as Treasurer of the Virginia Society of Enrolled Agents, Treasurer of The Chesterfield Partnership for Successful Living, and is the Vice Chair for Volunteers of the Dominion Richmond Christmas Parade.

He is a Life Member of the Virginia Jaycees, and a Life Member of the Capital District Kiwanis, and is a volunteer reader for Virginia Voice.

He studied accounting and finance at Virginia Tech, and also participated in the Sorensen Institute’s Political Leadership Program at the University of Virginia. He lives in Midlothian, Virginia.
