PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Program Description – This presentation is designed to familiarize the participant with the mission of the IRS – Criminal Investigation and the crimes that this law enforcement agency investigates.
Learning Objective(s)
1. To understand the overall mission of the IRS-Criminal Investigation,
2. To understand IRS-Criminal Investigation’s statutory obligations,
3. To understand what Title 26 United States Code (Internal Revenue Code) violations IRS-Criminal Investigation investigates, and
4. To understand what “other” criminal violations IRS-Criminal Investigation investigates.

Prerequisite - Basic knowledge of federal taxation

Refund Policy
Refunds will be honored if written notification is received at the Administrative Office up to 5 days prior to the date of the course. A processing fee of $25 will be deducted from the refund. If the total registration fee was less than $25, no refund will be granted. Transferring the registration to another individual is allowed up to 5 days prior to the program date. Transfers or cancellations within 5 days of the course will not be accepted. “No Shows” forfeit their fees. Cancellation
VASEA reserves the right to cancel any program or course for circumstances that are not under direct control of VASEA. If a course or program is cancelled, registrants will be notified via email at the address listed on their registration form.

Christopher Wajda, retired in August, 2019 from the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation Division as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the Washington D.C. Field Office. As the ASAC, he led and guided some of the most significant criminal white-collar investigations ever to have been conducted in the U.S. He has over 32 years of experience in complex criminal and civil financial investigations.

Currently Christopher Wajda is in private practice in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area serving clients on a worldwide basis. He is a licensed Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, and he is registered as a private investigator with the Commonwealth of Virginia (99-662057).
