Alena started her career as an actuary at Intact, and has since held progressive roles in corporate development, strategy and sales. She is passionate about modernizing and simplifying the insurance experience for customers.

Alena graduated with a dual HBSc. degree in Computer Science and Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society. She completed a Global Professional Master of Laws (GPLLM) from the University of Toronto and Kellogg on Branding program from Northwestern University. Outside of insurance, Alena loves spending time with her husband and daughters, ages two and four, and she is an avid traveler who enjoys exploring the world.
