While they desperately need a spark in their attack to match the Bunnies, defensively Jennings was going to be key.

Jennings’ brother George was named in Sivo’s place on the left wing outside of Michael, while utility back Brad Takairangi was named on Ferguson’s right wing. However it was expected Takairangi would swap with centre Waqa Blake before kick-off. It’s expected that Blake will stay put at right centre, Takairangi will go to left centre on the inside of George Jennings and Dunster will come onto the right wing on the outside of Blake.
Arthur’s only other feasible option was to play second-rower Andrew Davey in Jennings’ centre spot. Davey shifted to the centres last week when Sivo and Ferguson’s knee injuries forced a reshuffle. However, the 28-year-old was in an unfamiliar position and was caught out defensively.
If Dunster does play on the right wing he’ll be thrown into the deep end having to defend try-scoring machine Alex Johnston who just two weeks ago scored five tries against the Roosters. He’ll rely heavily on Blake’s guidance, but even Blake hasn’t been up to scratch defensively.
