SESSION GOALS:
• To become aware of what truly makes us happy.
• To explore how our lives might be enriched by simplicity.
• To use the Action Plan to set goals around simplicity and get started with putting them into practice.

In this teaching we will be referencing Session 1 of the workbook Voluntary Simplicity by the Northwest Earth Institute / www.ecochallenge.org.

2. Read the excerpt from "The Gospel of Consumption by Jeffery Kaplan"
3. If applicances & electronics were suppose to make our lives "more simple and easy", then why are Americans more stressed with less free time?
4. Whre do you feel you "over consume" in your life and why?
5. Take another look at the Simple Living Wheel on page 17. Has anything changed since last Session? Or, are you seeing deeper relationships between the spokes? If so, what?
6. Continue to consider the Action Plan on page. 13 and what you might Identify, Consider and Commit to at the end of these Sessions. Just one item or area of life is enough!
