Values are the things you do or find very stimulating. When you're engaged in these activities, you're happy, you feel like this is what you do best. These are the things that make us feel connected with others and excited to be living. These things are fun and effortless for us because this is who we are. Your values are what you really feel you have to do or be in order to honor yourself.

Values are honest evaluations of who and what you truly are. Values are not hopes, wishes or what you think you should be doing. Some values are obvious, and others are hidden. As you read through the following list some items will resonate with you, others will not.

We all have gifts. What are your gifts? What do you do better than most? What do you know that most other people don't? What kinds of things do other people admire in you? What do other people ask you to help them accomplish with their life? When people need help, what do they ask you to do?

The answers to all these questions and more help you identify your gifts. Identifying your gifts is identifying your strengths, the things that you can do to help other people help themselves.
