Looking Back to Move Forward

FA education is Delighted to welcome Viv Anderson, former player and coach whose distinguished career included working under some true legends in the game Sir Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough. Viv was also the first black player to play for England.

Viv will be joined by Luther Blissett, fellow former England player, coach and the first black player to score for the England senior team. Luther played under and coached alongside legendary manager Graham Taylor OBE to help take Watford FC to meteoric heights as well as joining AC Milan in the 80’s.

Viv and Luther will share their careers and the challenges they faced as pioneer black players within the game.

This is the first of four webinars during Black History Month where FA education celebrates the incredible value black players and coaches have offered the game and continue to do so. This live remote evening with Viv and Luther will also offer the audience a chance to ask questions about their incredible careers from their early days as players through to their final days as a coach.
