Bruce Silverglade is a principal at OFW Law. His practice includes tracking food labeling trends, resolution of competitive disputes involving food labeling and advertising claims, proactive responses to FDA regulatory proposals, management of class action lawsuits, FDA and FTC enforcement actions challenging food labeling and advertising claims, and implementation of food labeling regulations.

Bruce has extensive experience with such issues on both the national and international levels working with top officials at FDA, FTC, USDA, the Canadian government, the Japanese government, the European Commission, and international agencies including the Codex Alimentarius Commission and the World Health Organization. He speaks and lectures extensively on such issues and is often quoted in the media as a recognized expert in the field.

Silvana leads the strategic and commercial development of the Carbon Trust’s international footprinting business. She works with corporates to help them access the benefits from taking action on value chain sustainability, as well as recognizing their environmental achievements through assurance services and eco-labelling to better communicate their commitments on climate change. Silvana works with a range of major corporate clients, including Danone, Tetra Pak, Nestlé, Telefónica and Amcor. She is also responsible for corporate strategic and business development activities in Latin America.

Silvana holds an MBA from Birmingham University, a Diploma in Climate Change from Imperial College London, and a BSc in Communications from Universidad de Lima in Peru. Silvana is fluent in both Spanish and English.

John Newton leads on the provision of assurance services at the Carbon Trust, helping organizations to gain recognition for their environmental achievements through independent verification from the Carbon Trust. He also works directly with organizations to enable them to better implement sustainability agendas within their own operations and across their value chains to drive sustainable growth, with a focus on themes such as circular economy, science-based target setting, supply chains innovation, and resource efficiency.

Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, John has almost 20 years of business strategy experience working mainly in the ICT sector. John holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town.
