The Operation Control Centres are the brain of the transportation networks. The new trends and challenges are driving the systems to become more and more sophisticated and thus difficult to manage with a distributed approach. Moreover the Covid-19 crisis is accelerating the Digital Transformation. However the main concern of railway authorities is to ensure safe daily operations, which takes priority over technology.

The integrated supervision of systems provides the right framework to enable smart mobility, with plenty of benefits for efficient operations and maintenance, increasing overall system performance. The on-going digitalisation and increasing cybersecurity threats also call for a higher interaction level. These systems represent a small part of a railway total investment infrastructure, however they are key to run efficient operations, while ensuring passenger safety and comfort.

Thales is a pioneer and an innovator in the true integration of Supervision and Control Systems for mainlines and urban rails boasting key references worldwide.

In this Webinar our experts will share our insights about the challenges facing railways – especially in the current Covid-19 crisis, the market trends and new technological drivers, our experience in Operation Control Centre architectures and the benefits of a truly integrated solution. They will also approach intelligent multimodal mobility.
