Can technology help to alleviate crowding in public transports?
The answer is DIVA, Distributed Intelligent Video Analytics

For passengers, crowding is one of the main causes of dissatisfaction. For operators, it is a concern because it adds to delays and can affect safety. And now Covid-19 has brought the dangers of crowding into sharp focus for everyone.

To achieve an optimal flow of passengers, operators need ways to monitor, manage and predict congestion on stations and trains in real time.

Thales’ DIVA (Distributed Intelligent Video Analytics) solution is designed to meet these needs. It works by extracting real-time passenger density data from existing CCTV cameras using A.I. Video Analytics.

During this webinar we’ll provide an overview of the DIVA solution, explaining how it works. We will also present a testimony of SBS-Transit, a leading transportation operator with whom we have developed this co-innovation in Singapore, before heading down to the benefits for the passengers – with a focus on the advantages of connecting the system with the passenger information system.

Registration will close 45 minutes prior the webinar start time.
