Rose Kosgey (Moderator)

Digital Services Manager Product Business

Rosy has close to 5years experience in the railway signalling industry.

Since 2020, Rosy is the Digital Services Manager for Product Business - the Thales Business unit that is responsible for sales and business development of axle counters and point machines worldwide. As part of this role, she is responsible for optimization of digital services as well as the conception and implementation of strategic marketing activities for Thales railway field elements.

In 2018, Rosy joined Thales as part of the Main Line Signaling business lines to manage international marketing of axle counters and point machines.

Frank Schneider

Cybersecurity Officer

Frank has 19 years experience in the railway signalling industry.

Since 2020, Frank is the Cybersecurity Officer for Main Line Signalling Business Line. As part of his role he is leading a team of highly motivated cybersecurity experts steering the onboarding of cybersecurity controls into MLS solutions and products.

In 2002, Frank joined MLS business as a junior product manager moving into leadership positions in the area of Research & Development as well as product strategy with different focus on software as well as system discipline.

Volker Morneweg

Product Line Manager

Volker has 17 years experience in the railway signalling industry.

As Commercial Project Manager he delivered Thales ETCS L2 trackside equipment to Switzerland for the Lötschberg- and Gotthard-Tunnel, to Austria for the ETCS line Wien – St. Pölten and to Spain for the high speed line Madrid – Lleida - Barcelona and the Cercanias project in Madrid.
In 2013 he changed from trackside- to onboard-ETCS equipment and was the Product Line Architect of the Thales onboard system for 5 years.

Since 2018 Volker is the Product Line Manager for the ETCS L2 onboard system of Thales and for the national train control systems LZB and PZB in Germany.

As part of this role, he is responsible for planning the Thales ETCS roadmap delivering the digital services of the future in a cyber secured network.
