A talk by David Rankine. Through carefully sequenced activities, Conversational Solfege enables students to joyfully assimilate the skills and content necessary to be musically literate. Each rhythm element will be explored in patterns, folk songs, poetry, rhymes and classical music from around the globe. Through various games and techniques in both 2/4 and 6/8 time, Conversational Solfege allows the acquisition of musical reading and writing, ear training, improvisation, sight reading, dictation, and composition in an intuitive manner.
