Recently, WhatsApp updated its privacy policy to allow it to share personal data with the Facebook family of companies Users have until February 8 to read and agree to the new terms. Failure to do so would lead to WhatsApp deleting the accounts.

Privacy concerns have since emerged where many users are considering moving to other messaging platforms. A few are confused.

- What actually are the privacy concerns?
- What is Facebook trying to do? What does it mean to all users?
- Are they breaking any data protection laws?
- Should you be concerned?
- What are the pros and cons? What are the myths?

Join us as we discuss the answers to the above in DPEX network panel facilitated by Kevin Shepherdson. Here are the panellists and their respective perspectives:

Celine Chew - Behavioural Psychology perspective and Operational perspective
Dr Prapanpong Khumon - Regulator’s perspective
Lyn Boxall - Legal perspective
Andrew Fam - Developer’s perspective
