About This Event
This 30-minute introductory session is for teachers who are new to Stile in 2024. We'll cover the basics of teaching with Stile, from logging in and finding resources to teaching your first lesson and marking student work. You'll walk away ready to hit the ground running with a complete science curriculum for Years 7–10.

Alex studied a Bachelor of Science before gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary) and commencing her teaching career in New Zealand’s intermediate school system. She taught students in years 7 and 8 across all curriculum areas, with a particular passion for science and developing metacognitive thinking in students. Completing the Science Teaching Leadership Programme, facilitated by The Royal Society, was a career highlight that allowed Alex to work alongside scientists in the field and to study science-specific pedagogies.
Implementation Specialist (BBioMed(Hons), MTeach (Secondary))
Lara studied a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) before gaining a Masters of Secondary Teaching. She taught Years 7 - 10 science alongside senior Chemistry and Biology in both the public and private sectors. Lara has experience in the pastoral care area, as well as being a Head of Science; curriculum development coupled with developing student-focused programs to help foster a love for science are passions of hers.
