Mr. Juma, CEO, EH Consultancy FZE launched his first company in Kingston, ON, Canada, in 2005 and incorporated in 2007. Founded with $100, a laptop, and an idea, Soft-Where to Learn Inc.™ (SWTL) and Jazra Enterprises Inc. grew into a multi-million-dollar conglomerate by 2008. With leadership and tenacious entrepreneurship, by 2011, the now 6 horizontal companies grew strongly, producing eight-figure revenues in Canada and the U.S. Mr. Juma’s companies simultaneously achieved success in various sectors including education, IT, assistive and adaptive technologies, software, specialized staff training, real estate, hotels & hospitality, web and graphic design, consultancy and more. SWTL became the leader in providing best teaching practices for inclusive education and educational tech for school boards in Eastern Ontario. Hakeem Subair

Sian Thomas
Director, Global Prosperity Skills
Sian is a specialist in transnational education for vocational and HEI partnerships and projects and has a wide-ranging background in senior leadership in international vocational and HE pathway education, awarding bodies and charitable organisations. She holds an MA in Development Education from UCL and has specialisms in sustainable education partnerships and a background in teaching, quality oversight and leadership. In addition to her background in development education, she has a successful track record of commercial leadership in the education sector with strong skills in revenue generation, programme development, department turnaround, quality improvement and governance and high-level stakeholder relationship building.

Sian has extensive experience as a technical education consultant across LI, MI and HI regions with particular specialisms in vocational-HE partnerships, EFL, refugee provision, programme design and monitoring, employability and work-based learning. She also has specialisms in education policy and implementation, early years and family learning, life long learning and workforce planning, quality improvement and capacity building for education institutes and embedding skills for sustainability and entrepreneurship across provision.
Adam McGregor
Webinar Host, Professor and Program Coordinator, Business Fundamentals, St. Lawrence College
Adam is a Professor and Program Coordinator with the School of Business at St. Lawrence College. He has been working for the college for over seven years and has taught classes across programs and departments at the college. In his role as Program Coordinator he is responsible for supporting students, curriculum development and review, and supporting the strategic direction for the business diploma program. His areas of research interest include international education, career development and the future of work, and best practices in post-secondary teaching. Adam received the Award of Merit from St. Lawrence College in 2019 along with other members of a research team for their work supporting international education. Adam has presented at regional and national educational conferences on both internationalization research and best practices in post-secondary education.

With international experience as both a student and employee, Adam brings a wide range of experience to St. Lawrence College. He has completed an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University, a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of the Sunshine Coast (Australia), and a Masters Degree in Education from Ontario Tech University, where his graduate research project provided a critical review of policy and patterns of internationalization in Ontario Colleges.
Wendy Whitehead
Webinar Host, Professor and Program Coordinator, Business Fundamentals, St. Lawrence College
Wendy Whitehead is a Professor and Coordinator in the School of Business at St Lawrence College. Wendy has taught across a number of programs including Human Resources and the Laurentian University Bachelor of Business Administration Program.

Prior to coming to St Lawrence College, Wendy worked in Human Resources for both the private and public sector. During this experience, Wendy was able to support an international business in its growth, eventually achieving status as one of Canada’s fastest growing companies. Later, Wendy went on to act as a lead in supporting provincial government initiatives such as new teacher development and co-chairing a provincial taskforce on privacy and information management. This was complimented by presenting at international conferences in California and more recently at the University of Waterloo.

In her 13 years at St Lawrence College, she has been a lead in policy development and internationalization. As a strategic priority for the college, Wendy worked with a team on an international education research project for which she was recognized with the Award of Merit. In addition, Wendy has been a part of the Leadership Development Program and recently hosted a tri-campus workshop on Gratitude and Culture in a time of COVID-19.

After attending Trent University where Wendy achieved a Bachelor of Administrative Studies, she became a Certified Human Resources Leader as recognized by the Human Resources Professional Association. Following this, Wendy completed a Master of Adult Education from St Francis Xavier University focusing on career selection in the education sector.
