"Under the Surface:" Addressing Implicit Bias through the lens of Social and Emotional learning

About This Webinar

Today's educators have a fundamental responsibility to meet the holistic needs of students, especially those from diverse backgrounds that often come with higher needs and non-traditional experiences. This commitment doesn't come without its challenges, especially when those challenges are under the surface like implicit bias. The current climate in our society demands that we provide the necessary training and support for our teachers and leaders so they have the opportunity to learn, reflect, and address the biases they may be unaware of. In this session we will learn how to uncover our implicit bias and partner social and emotional learning practices to disrupt and reduce the negative impacts bias brings.
