Ryan MacGillis is a partner and family law attorney at Wiemer Law Group. He practices family law in all counties in southeastern Wisconsin.
Beyond his work as a advocate for parents, Ryan is often appointed as a Guardian ad Litem to represent the best interests of minor children. He is a trained and experienced mediator and assists parents and couples in resolving child-related and financial issues privately and without court involvement.
Ryan is also a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve, and serves as a Judge Advocate General (JAG). He has been in the Army since 2003 and in his capacity as a JAG Special Victims' Counsel, has advocated for the rights and interests of sexual assault and domestic violence victims through the military investigative and criminal processes.
When not vigorously advocating for his clients and children, Ryan enjoys volunteering at the Milwaukee Justice Center and spending time with his wife, Leah, and his three children, Annabelle (10), Naomi (8), and Jack (6). He is also an outdoorsman, enjoying skiing, fishing, hiking, and anything else that gets he and his family outside and up north.
