Sustainability Matters 2020

About These Webinars

Be inspired! Hear from local Darebin businesses about what they are doing to be environmentally sustainable, build business resilience and save money. Join in the discussion with our new online Sustainability Matters webinars.

This series will bring to you the inspiration and learning from our local sustainability leaders. We invite you to listen in, ask questions of the business leaders, share your vision of what sustainable business in Darebin does or could look like, and see the opportunities of how things could be done differently.

The first webinar will run on World Environment Day on Friday 5 June, as part of Darebin Council’s World Environment Day celebrations.

The following dates, times and topics are:
1) Fri 5 June at 2:30pm – 3.30 pm - Solar and energy efficiency - with Georgia Rose speaking from the EnviroShop and Charles Sandford speaking from Charles Sandford and McKay Joinery
2) Thurs 11 June at 2:30pm – 3.30 pm - Reducing waste - with Chris Ennis from CERES Fair Food
3) Thurs 18 June at 2:30pm – 3.30 pm - Circular economy - with Stephen Webster from Integrated Recycling

Creating an environmentally sustainable business typically reduces costs, therefore increases profits, builds stronger connections and relationships with staff, customers and supply chains, and therefore helps build your business resilience. This puts you in a stronger market position to meet unprecedented challenges, like COVID-19.

These events are proudly sponsored by the Victorian State Government.
