About this series
Contact Lens Week is a series of interactive webinars each focussing on a key topic facing the contact lens sector. Optician will host a daily webinar at 6pm throughout the week starting Monday 8th February. There will be two sessions each evening. During these sessions viewers can pose live questions some of which will be posed to our key opinion leaders live on air after the presentation.
All sessions will be recorded so if you are unable to watch live you will be able to catch up at a later date when convenient.

  • Myopia control: The options for managing myopia and the results of the latest research
    Monday, February 8, 2021 · 6:00 PM GMT
    This webinar will provide a round up of the research around myopia management. The presentation/interview will explore which patients are suitable and the potential for slowing myopia. The session will also explore myopia management options and suitable patients.

    This should include peripheral focus, extended depth of focus and OrthoK lenses. The outcomes achieved from the different methodologies will also be discussed along with patient communication.

  • Torics: Covering all of the angles

    This session will look at the issue of cylindrical power correction among contact lenses wearers. Developments in soft contact lenses have seen improved correction among astigmatic soft contact lens wearers. The speaker will set the scene surrounding the improvements made in fitting astigmats, recent product developments and practice issues around selection. The session will move on to explain further options available.
