This program explores the ethical dilemmas encountered by a Circular 230 tax professional during a complex collection case. The difficulties include conflict of interest, purported facts which don’t match the 3rd party evidence, and a Revenue Officer who does not believe the taxpayer. Relevant sections of Circular 230 and the Internal Revenue Manual are explored.
