About This Series
This autumn, Gardens Illustrated presents a new season of its acclaimed Online Masterclass series, featuring three leading voices in contemporary horticulture and garden design. Across the series, we explore how atmosphere, planting and nature-led practices come together to create meaningful, resilient landscapes in both private and public settings.
From creating evocative garden spaces with award-winning designer Tom Massey, to a rare behind-the-scenes look at Piet Oudolf’s creative process with horticulturist Rebecca McMackin, and a dive into regenerative growing methods with innovative gardener Joshua Sparkes, these three talks will offer a rich array of ideas and inspiration for gardeners and designers alike.
Two talks will be delivered as exclusive live lectures with slides, while the third with Joshua Sparkes is an in-depth video guide created at Birch Farm this summer. Each one-hour masterclass will include lots of practical advice, real-world examples and in-depth insights from the experts’ own projects and approaches - whether it is how to harness materials to shape mood, understanding how master-level planting plans come to life, or learning how to grow food in harmony with biodiversity.
Join live to ask questions on the night or watch the recording afterwards at a time that suits you. All talks are available on-demand and can be viewed up to ten times, so you can absorb the material at your own pace and rewatch again as you wish.
You can book each masterclass individually for £16, or purchase the full series for just £38 and save 20%.
