Walter C. Jones is currently a nonexecutive director of FTAC Olympus and the founder and CEO of Daana Technologies. Jones was the managing director of the Jones Pohl Group, an investment firm based in Dubai, UAE. From April 2010 to October 2013, Jones served as the US executive director and chief of mission to the African Development Bank in Tunis, Tunisia, an ambassadorial position. In this position, he represented the United States on the African Development Bank’s board of directors. Earlier, Jones worked at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), where at various times, he was manager for Asia; for Africa and the Middle East; and for Latin America and the Caribbean; ultimately, assuming a global mandate within the OPIC Finance Department. Jones began his career at the law firm of Sidley & Austin, where he was a transactions attorney specializing in leveraged buyouts.
