Deana Cappucci
LVT, VTS (Physical Rehabilitation), CCRVN, CCMT
Deana is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who specializes in canine physical rehabilitation and pain management. Deana studied Veterinary Technology at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2007. She became certified in Canine Rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Florida in 2010. She also attended the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage in 2011 to become a Certified Canine Massage Therapist. Deana studied Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine for Veterinary Technicians through the Chi Institute in 2012. She received her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Physical Rehabilitation through the Academy of Physical Rehabilitation Veterinary Technicians in 2017. She has served on the APRVT Board of Directors as the Executive Secretary, and currently sits as the Continuing Education Chair. Deana is also a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and a Fear Free Certified Professional. Deana actively lectures to the veterinary community and general public. She continues to contribute to peer-reviewed publications and educational textbooks. Deana has led and supervised specialty rehab departments from NY to South Florida, and she is currently the Manager of Operations for a mobile rehabilitation service, servicing Palm Beach County, Florida. Deana also continues to work as an Independent Consultant and an educator to the veterinary community
