Joseph Stenaka
Executive Director, Information Security Operations/Chief Privacy Officer, Department of Veteran’s Affairs
In this role he serves as a senior cybersecurity advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He leads the Department’s cybersecurity operation programs, including ongoing testing and evaluation; remediation management, incident response and continuity of operations. He is a subject matter expert to executive management on a broad range of security standards, best practices, and VA risk approaches to cybersecurity. He also plans, develops and coordinates agency-level information security programs and strategies; and supervises 160 government personnel.
Mr. Stenaka is also a professor with over 20 years of undergraduate and graduate experience with Central Texas College, Anne Arundel Community College, National Intelligence College and University of Maryland.
