Elena Babinecz is Managing Counsel in the Office of Regulations at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). In this capacity, she manages and oversees the Office’s fair lending and language access work, including the 1071 small business lending data collection rulemaking. For several years Ms. Babinecz was also Co-Chair of the CFPB’s Diversity and Inclusion Council of Employees. Ms. Babinecz is a graduate of Duke University School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and now resides in Washington, D.C.
