This discovery training introduces CODE V, a premium optical design software.

CODE V enables engineers to design, analyze, and optimize optical systems such as camera lenses, telescopes, and photonics devices. It features advanced ray tracing, diffraction analysis, and powerful optimization engine. In addition, CODE V offers fast and accurate tolerancing, which helps engineers predict how well a design will perform once it is manufactured.

Joy Ding

Imaging Applications Engineer

Dr. Ding is currently serving as an Application Engineer for the Optical Design Engineering Group at Keysight. She joined the Optical Design Engineering Group in 2021, working on CODE V optical design software for imaging system optimization and analysis. She is interested in applying CODE V in the frontiers of optical design. Dr. Ding graduated from the University of Arizona with a Ph.D. in Physics focused on medical imaging and a minor in Optics from the Wyant College of Optical Sciences. Dr. Ding also holds a bachelor’s degree in applied physics from the University of Science and Technology of China. She has worked in the areas of medical imaging, cancer treatment, computational imaging, and security imaging before joining the Optical Design Engineering Group.
