Dr. Spencer joined the Texas State faculty in 2007 after 23 years of industry experience in architecture and construction. Dr. Spencer is the CSM Program Coordinator, teaches architecturally focused classes, and serves as the Internship Coordinator for the department. A registered architect in the State of Texas, Dr. Spencer received a Master of Architecture degree from Texas A&M University, where she participated in a study abroad semester at the Universita della Svizzera italiana, Accademia di architettura in Mendrisio, Switzerland. Dr. Spencer acquired her PhD in Education with a focus on Adult, Professional, and Continuing Education from Texas State University in 2017. Her research interests include Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), AR/VR education in online and virtual environments, building informational modeling, technology in construction, architectural professional and international education, and experiential education (study abroad and internships).
