Christine Monette

Christine Monette is currently principal engineer for hydro turbines mechanical analysis and mechanical R&D within the mechanical engineering department of Andritz Hydro’s Montreal office in Canada. She has been working in hydraulic turbine mechanical engineering through different technical assignments within the business since 2005. She graduated with a master degree in mechanical engineering in 2003 from École Polytechnique de Montréal. Her special interests are static and dynamic stress calculations using finite element analysis and fatigue life prediction.
John Moffet

Assistant Deputy Minister, Environmental Protection Branch, Environment and Climate Change Canada

AS ADM EPB, John is responsible for ECCC's environmental protection regulations. Before joining ECCC in late 2005 on Executive Interchange, he consulted on environmental law and policy issues in Canada and in developing countries, was Executive Assistant to the Attorney General of Ontario, and was (briefly) a corporate lawyer in Toronto. He has lectured and published on a wide range of environmental law and policy topics, has two adult children, and enjoys cross-country skiing, mountain biking and canoeing in his spare time.
