Liz is Scotland Director of Lantra, a charity that exists to help make sure our land based and aquaculture sectors can meet their skills needs. Working to improve the sustainability of the rural economy through the development of its workforce. She was previously Programme Development Manager of Natural and Applied Science for UHI Inverness, a role which in her 15 years there, included management of the Scottish School of Forestry. With an academic background in plant science, Liz holds a degree in Botany, a PhD in Agronomy and is a Chartered Forester. In 2011 she gained an MBE for her work engaging young people in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). (111 words)
