Parker Curry is a precocious 5-year-old with a love for ballet and books whose life changed when she came face-to-face with Amy Sherald’s transcendent portrait of Michelle Obama at the National Portrait Gallery. A nearby museum-goer snapped a photo of the mesmerized Parker, and it became an internet sensation that led Parker to meet the former first lady, appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and share her experience in a book, “Parker Looks Up: An Extraordinary Moment” (Aladdin), co-written with her mother, Jessica Curry.
