Demnlus Johnson III currently serves on the Richmond City Council and as Board President/ CEO of Black Elected Officials. He also served on several Planning Committees and Boards of Directors such as the Chair of the North Richmond Mitigation Fee Committee and Chair of the West Contra Costa Transportation Advisory Committee. Johnson received his education at Howard University where he majored in Communications and minored in Africana Studies. Upon graduating from Howard University in 2015 Johnson received his Bachelors of Arts degree. Johnson would go on to continue his education at the University of California Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy where he received his Master degree in Public Affairs. Today, Johnson lives in Richmond, California and works as the CA Policy & Government Relations Manager for Jumpstart for Young Children.
