The fashion and luxury goods industries are Achim Berg’s passion and fields of deep expertise. Over the past 15 years, he has advised numerous leading brands, retailers, wholesalers and producers worldwide on a broad spectrum of sourcing topics ranging from a sourcing diagnostic for a European multi-label apparel retailer to a multi-phased sourcing program for the leading functional clothing producer. Achim is the initiator and author of the bi-annual McKinsey Apparel CPO surveys. Furthermore, he organizes and hosts the annual McKinsey Apparel Sourcing Executive roundtables in Hong Kong.

Achim holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics and a PhD in the same area, with a focus on strategy and value generation in the private equity industry.
