Dr. Jeannine Berger is one of the few veterinarians that is double boarded with the American college of veterinary behaviorist as well as the American college for animal welfare. Currently, she the Senior VP of Rescue and Animal Welfare for the San Francisco SPCA where she oversees all aspects of animal care. Dr. Berger first obtained her veterinary degree in 1991 in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1998 she moved to California to work at UC Davis. In 2019 she was awarded the Bronze Medal for Global Animal Welfare by the World Veterinary Association for her excellent contributions to promoting the welfare of animals.
