Adela Cepeda was a corporate finance executive at Smith Barney, Harris Upham for more than 10 years. She left Wall Street to build her own firm, A. C. Advisory, which achieved a national leadership position in municipal financial advisory services. In 2016, she sold A. C. Advisory to PFM, and served as managing director of PFM until 2019. Cepeda sits on the boards of the UBS Funds and the Pathway Mutual Funds, and she chairs the Mercer Mutual Funds. She is also a director of BMO Financial Corp., the US holding company for BMO Harris Bank. She chairs BMO’s capital committee. Cepeda serves on the Cook County Council of Economic Advisors and the City of Chicago Community Development Commission. She also sits on the boards of the Chicago Foundation for Women, Arrupe College, and Rush, and is president of Teatro Vista.
