Kate DiCamillo is an award-winning author and former National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature (2014-2015). Her books “Flora and Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures” and “The Tale of Despereaux” won the Newbery Medal, and her first published novel, “Because of Winn-Dixie,” won a Newbery Honor.
