Author
Elizabeth Tallent teaches literature and creative writing at Stanford University. She is the author of a novel, “Museum Pieces,” and four collections of short stories. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Esquire, Harper’s, Grand Street, The Paris Review, The Threepenny Review and The Best American Short Stories and O. Henry Award collections. In “Scratched: A Memoir of Perfectionism” (Harper), her first published work in 22 years, Tallent grapples with the ferocious desire for perfection, which has shaped her writing life as well as her rich, dramatic and constantly surprising personal life.
