Jason Reynolds, the 2020-2021 National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, started writing poetry when he was 9 years old. He is the recipient of numerous honors, including a Newbery Honor, Printz Honor, NAACP Image Award and Walter Dean Myers Award, and he is the recipient of multiple Coretta Scott King honors. Reynolds is also a National Book Award finalist. His many books include "When I Was the Greatest," "The Boy in the Black Suit," "All American Boys" (co-written with Brendan Kiely), "As Brave as You," "For Every One" and "Long Way Down."
