David is a skilled marketer first and a textile expert second. After receiving a marketing degree from the University of Kent, he began his career working in sales and product development at pile and faux fur maker Borg Textiles in the U.K. In 1976, David joined Malden Mills in Massachusetts, and in 1981 he was appointed sales director for Malden’s launch of Polar Fleece, now known as Polartec.

Fully committed to creating textile-based products for a burgeoning outdoor industry, David started Concept III in 1983 as domestic textile resource. The company now has offices in both the U.S. and Europe and offers product manufacturing in addition to development and sourcing services.
