As the head of Diverse Segments for Wells Fargo Home Lending,Chuck Bishop leads the business strategy for all production channels to increase opportunities for low-to-moderate income and multi-cultural homeowners and buyers.
As a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry, Chuck’s experience includes 25 years of extensive focus on diverse segments, fair lending, the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), and more. In his role, Mr. Bishop is responsible for
• Designing production and implementation tactics for the aggregation and production of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)-eligible business in bank markets.
• Building and implementing strategies to increase national homeownership opportunities for ethnic minorities.
• Leading multiple activities aimed at developing ethnically diverse talent for growth opportunities.
• Collaborating with other Wells Fargo business lines to promote an inclusive business strategy and position Wells Fargo as the leader in serving diverse customers and underserved communities.
Chuck’s success has been recognized across the industry, including receipt of the Freddie Mac Home Possible RISE award in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and serving on the Freddie Mac Affordable Housing Council. He has also been honored as a Premier Partner for diversity by the Mortgage Bankers Association.
Chuck earned bachelor’s degrees in Business Management from the Columbia Union College and Virginia Tech.
