Joan Lordi Amble has held various positions specializing in financial services, banking, and manufacturing. Amble was executive vice president and principal accounting officer for American Express from 2004 to 2011. Prior to American Express, Amble worked for General Electric in varying capacities. Amble has held positions at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, where she specialized in pensions and financial instruments, and Ernst & Young, where she served as a CPA (currently inactive). Amble serves on the boards of Sirius XM, Zurich Insurance Group, and Booz Allen Hamilton, and as an independent advisor to Societe Generale N.A. Amble is passionate about helping women develop professionally; she speaks at Women’s Forums and cofounded and is chair emeritus of W.O.M.E.N. in America, a leadership program designed to enable high-potential women in business to achieve their maximum potential.
