Justo Villasmil is a principal in the Consulting Services Practice of Ernst & Young LLP. He has 20+ years of consulting- and assurance-related experience with Fortune 1000 companies. Villasmil’s expertise lies primarily in risk management, specifically internal controls, risk remediation, internal audit, and process redesign on both financial and operational areas across multiple industries. Villasmil has led risk-transformation workstreams ranging from internal controls to enterprise risk management; cybersecurity; and governance, risk management, and compliance for a variety of transformation projects—financial and operational—for both domestic and international companies. He has also led the project management office for all risk-related activities, such as control remediation, risk monitoring and mitigation, process redesign derived from transformation of internal controls over financial reporting programs, and enterprise resource planning implementation, as well as IPO readiness. Villasmil has extensive experience in internal audit, helping clients that are establishing, transforming, and optimizing the internal audit function.
