Jamil Farshchi is chief information security officer (CISO) for Equifax. Farshchi successfully led an effort to mature The Home Depot into an information security leader following one of the largest cyber breaches in history. He served as CISO at Time Warner Inc., vice president of global information security at Visa, and CISO at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He also held leadership roles at Sitel Corp., NextWave Wireless, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He is a director of the Institute for Information Security and Privacy at Georgia Tech University and the Piedmont Park Conservancy, and serves on the cybersecurity advisory boards of the Center for Audit Quality, GI Partners, and Insight Venture Partners. He is a mentor in the Columbia University Technology Management program. Farshchi has received a CSO Compass Award, the President’s Council award for IT Excellence, and the NASA Collaborative Achievement Award among others.
